Belt Suspenders
Well
made belt suspenders are practical and look
cool too.
What ever happened to suspenders anyway? I mean, they
are so darned practical and they look darned cool too.
Many people wear them not only for looks but also in
certain work situations, where they really need to keep
their pants up (and a belt alone just won't cut it!)
While some suspenders are meant to be worn alone, without a
belt, other types of belt
suspenders can be work in conjunction with a belt
to hold up your pants.
In Britain, the term for these suspenders is "braces", and
they are quite often associated with the upper class in that
part of the world.
In the United States, belt suspenders can be worn both
casually and formally, with as diverse a collection of clothing
as white tee shirts and jeans to designer suits.
In addition, in the U.S., many working people often wear
suspenders, including those wearing heavy coats and protective
pants, such as firemen.
In these cases, the suspenders are needed to hold up the
heavy pants and keep them from dropping down at inopportune
times.
Personally, I like suspenders because they are simply unique
and assert a personal style without being too flashy or out
there.
By putting on a pair of belt suspenders, I know I look good,
I'm being unique, and, of course, I'm keeping my pants off the
ground!
Hard to argue with an accessory that does all that for just
about the price of a boring old belt.
